Conversion is often separated from the payment itself: one provider quotes the rate, another moves the money, and the spread between them is difficult to see. Reconciling the converted amount against the original invoice is left to you.

Conversion handled as part of the payment rather than beside it, with the rate applied and recorded against the transaction so the audit trail is intact.
